Touch a Life (TAL)

Touch a Life (TAL) is borne out of our many years of experience with the annual Kayayei Christmas Party, a charitable event to show love, donate and support children and young female porters from the poorer Northern regions of Ghana, who migrate to the South in search of a better life. Most of them end up sleeping on the streets.

Since May 2017, the TAL Project has worked in close partnership with community leaders across Ghana to offer vulnerable women and youth training in life skills and entrepreneurship. Within this period, 650 women and youth have been impacted.

We believe that in order to drastically reduce poverty, we must empower women and youth to be self-sustaining entrepreneurs. We do this through the free skill training and mentorship module, Street Business School (SBS); where vulnerable women and youth are trained and mentored at their communities.

Other activities that come along with this initiative include creating innovative channels of communication and interaction amongst stakeholders, policy makers and the general public about the challenges, solutions and socio-economic benefits available in the eradication of poverty on the continent in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The participants are taken through a 12-week specialized training which includes;
